If you’ve always wanted to play the piano, here’s your chance! Ten weeks of classroom instruction and hands-on experience using the high school’s keyboard system will teach you to read music and play the piano using both hands. This course is geared towards people with little or no piano experience. Come join the class and learn to play those songs you’ve been wanting to play for years! Open to previous students who wish to advance.

Learn to tune your guitar, read guitar tab and standard musical notation, and master your first chords and riffs. “Smoke on the Water” is just the beginning! Our canvas is the 1920’s and the shows of Broadway, the norm and the unusual. What was popular? What was serious? How did these two themes merge in Gershwin’s music? We’ll explore Rhapsody in Blue and Porgy and Bess. No class 10/13.
